Cookie & similar technologies

How LoyaltyTap uses cookies

This Cookie Policy explains how LoyaltyTap uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies across our public marketing website, merchant authentication flows, customer loyalty pages, and product infrastructure.

Effective date: May 3, 2026

1. What are cookies and storage?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Local storage and session storage let web applications save data in your browser for a period of time. Pixel tags or similar technologies may help us understand whether an email or page was opened. These tools are common for sign-in, security, preferences, and measurement.

2. Who sets cookies?

First-party: set by domains we operate (for example the LoyaltyTap marketing site or app host) to run sessions, security, and product features.

Third-party: set by partners we use-such as Google for authentication, hosting or analytics providers, or embedded content. Those partners’ policies also apply.

3. Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required to deliver the service you request: security, load balancing, session continuity, route protection, CSRF protection, and fraud prevention. These may include short-lived session cookies or storage entries for scan-token continuity in customer flows.

Functional

Remember choices such as language, form progress, or UI state so the experience is smoother on return visits.

Analytics and product improvement

Aggregated or pseudonymous statistics about page performance, errors, and feature usage. Where possible we configure tools to reduce personal data and focus on reliability and UX.

4. Storage on customer and merchant experiences

Merchant dashboard & signup: authentication cookies/tokens, onboarding routing, trial indicators where applicable, and security telemetry tied to your session.

Customer QR flows: storage may preserve pending visit tokens across redirects so a customer can authenticate without losing program context.

Marketing website: cookies may remember navigation context and measure engagement with sections such as pricing or contact.

5. Analytics providers

We may use privacy-conscious analytics or logging vendors to understand uptime and usage. Providers process data under agreements that limit reuse to providing the service. If we add new measurement tools that materially change tracking, we will update this policy and, where required, provide additional notice.

6. Your controls

Most browsers let you view cookies, delete them, or block categories. Mobile OS settings may offer additional controls. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent login, visit continuity, or checkout-style flows.

If we introduce optional marketing communications with separate consent, we will provide a clear unsubscribe or preference center consistent with applicable law.

7. International transfers

Technologies may involve processing in Pakistan or other countries where subprocessors operate. See the Privacy Policy for more on safeguards.
